Nate Diaz asks UFC to release him

Nate Diaz has one fight left on his UFC contract and is eager to finish it and move on from the organization.

The California native has already spent two or three years out of the Octagon, and he is currently in the midst of another layoff in his MMA career.

Diaz's last fight was in June of last year, when he was defeated by Leon Edwards in five rounds, and he hadn't fought in almost two years.

Now, Conor McGregor's dethroned wants out of the UFC, requesting that his contract be terminated on Twitter.

"Please, UFC, release now or give me a fight in July or August, I have greater s*** to do." Diaz explained.

The caption was accompanied by a video of Jake Paul's shocking defeat of former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, implying Diaz would be interested in a fight with the social media sensation turned pro boxer.

This isn't the first time Paul and Diaz have been linked, as the YouTuber stated that he was in talks with the UFC star before to his bout with Ben Askren.

"Nate Diaz has stated that he is willing to fight me." "We'll see what happens," Paul told MMA Junkie. I'm looking forward to it. This is only the beginning of a long and illustrious career.
