(VIDEO) Ricardo Ramos defeats Danny Chavez with his second spinning-elbow victory

With a spinning-elbow knockout of Danny Chavez at UFC Austin, Ricardo Ramos added another highlight-reel finish to his resume.

With the strike, Ramos knocked Chavez to the ground, necessitating a referee intervention at the 1:12 mark of the first round.

At the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, the finish added another knockout to a preliminary card that was strong on knockouts.

Ramos came out of the gate eager for a big win, no doubt hoping to forget about his decision loss to Zubaira Tukhugov in his previous appearance.

Chavez kept it safe and maneuvered to avoid spinning kicks coming his way, while also attempting to take away his opponent's wheels with calf punches.

Ramos then changed things up, ducking his head to throw off his opponent and then throwing a backward elbow that got Chavez on the temple and knocked him out. It was Ramos' second knockout victory, as he stopped Aiemann Zahabi with the identical strike at UFC 217.

Ramos currently has a 7-3 octagon record, while Chavez has a 1-2-1 record in four fights.
