(VIDEO) Jeremiah Wells knocks out Court McGee in the first round

Jeremiah Wells is proving that he is a force to be reckoned with in the UFC's 170-pound division.

At UFC Austin on Saturday, the hard-hitting welterweight became only the second fighter in history to knock out Court McGee (21-11) in 1:34 seconds.

Wells pushed forward in the fight until he got close enough to fire a three-punch flurry that finished with a huge left hand that landed square on McGee's chin.

Before the match was officially stopped, McGee fell flat on his back and ate a couple of ground shots.

With a second-round stoppage of veteran Warlley Alves, Wells (11-2-1) improved to 3-0 since making his UFC debut in June of last year.

He then submitted Blood Diamond in the first round, and now he's finished the tough McGee.

McGee has only been defeated by strikes twice in his 32-fight professional career. McGee's previous knockout loss was in April 2016 to Santiago Ponzinibbio. His MMA record now stands at 10-10.
