Ward is set to fight Paul in an exhibition contest, but the YouTube celebrity turned boxer is in talks to reschedule his fight with Tommy Fury.

Everyone seems to be following Jake Paul, who has yet to name his opponent for his Madison Square Garden fight on August 6.

Paul has shifted his scheduled fight from August 13 to a week earlier, as he will be co-headlining with Amanda Serrano, who is coming off a loss to Katie Taylor.

Floyd Mayweather Jr was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame earlier this week, and he mentioned a chat he had with Andre Ward.

"On stage at the Hall of Fame, I spoke with Andre Ward," Mayweather Jr remarked. "Andre Ward stated that he would like to/would not mind doing an exhibition against Jake Paul."

Ward hasn't fought since knocking out Sergey Kovalev in a rematch in 2017 and retiring undefeated with a 32-0 record.

Ward, on the other hand, does not look to be making a comeback on August 6, according to John Fury, who claims that Paul is in talks with Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury's younger brother.

Last December, Tommy and Paul were scheduled to fight, but the younger Fury brother was forced to withdraw due to a rib ailment and illness, and Tyron Woodley, a former UFC welterweight champion, took his place.

Since then, Tommy has made it plain that he wants the fight rescheduled, declaring following Paul's most recent victory, "Jake Paul, I will terminate your career, you're a bum and you're no good." Let's finish this fight."

"We're looking into the Jake Paul case, but there's still a long way to go." The Metro was informed by John.

"That's still up in the air and under negotiation; the attorneys are working on it right now."

"If Tommy's next bout isn't in August, it'll be September since we're all booked up until then."

"Unless we're fighting him, I'm not interested in what Jake Paul does, although he's a good boxer." He's bringing fresh eyes and creating quite a racket.

"We're doing everything we can to get Tommy's fight across the line, but there are a few significant variables we're trying to iron out, and if we can, we'll do it; if we can't, someone else will."

"We'll get it on whoever's out there and it's sensible."
