White on Diaz: ‘He probably should go on and fight Jake Paul’; Paul, Diaz respond

Finally appearing to reach consensus is Dana White and Nate Diaz.

In a new social media post on Monday, Diaz demanded that the UFC either sign him for the final bout of his contract or release him. This time, Diaz did it while hinting at his desire to face Jake Paul in a lucrative boxing battle.

White concurred with Diaz's Tuesday remarks that the Paul clash would be a good opportunity for Diaz's career when questioned about them. The UFC president also seemed to imply that Diaz's tenure with the organization would soon be coming to an end.

We're trying our best, so please bear with us. It's not like we're talking about Kamaru Usman here, but we're trying not to s*** on and insult anyone. Nate Diaz is the topic at hand. Since Nate has only had one victory in five fights, we are working with him to resolve this issue. He ought to continue fighting Jake Paul. That conflict has some logic.

On August 6, Paul is scheduled to headline a contest at New York's illustrious Madison Square Garden against an unnamed foe. However, the influencer stepped in on the matter right away and, of course, used it to troll White.

Over the previous few years, Diaz and Paul have swapped insults several times, with Paul openly urging a "big fight" between the two celebrities this past December. Before any discussions can begin, Diaz must still complete his UFC contract.

Despite constantly asking to face a variety of contenders, most notably Dustin Poirier, the 37-year-old native of Stockton has been sidelined since a June 2021 defeat to Leon Edwards.

White declined to comment on whether the UFC is still planning a fight between Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 278 on Aug. 20, but he wants to have a deal with Diaz shortly.

Diaz has responded:
